Bill's Gamblin Hall and Saloon is going to open in early March on the site where Barbary Coast currently sits.
Bill's Gamblin Hall and Saloon is a good choice for travelers looking for a reasonably priced no-frills hotel with a good, on-strip location. It lacks many of the ameneties of larger, newer hotels, but provides good basic accomadations.
Bill's Gamblin Hall and Saloon Hotel and Casino has a great location right in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip. It is situated on the north-east corner of Flamingo Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard (aka The Strip). Its central location allows you to walk to any other hotel on the strip. You cannot get a more centrally located hotel in Las Vegas.
With only 196 rooms, Bill's is not the biggest, newest or flashiest hotel on the strip. It lacks many of the luxury features of the mega-resorts, such as a pool, a spa, or a large variety of dining and shopping options. What it does offer is a basic, clean room. The rooms were remodeled around 2005. 24-hour room service is available.
Being small however, is not always a bad thing. Eveything is very close by. The parking garage elevators, 24 hour cafe, reception desk, valet stand and guest room elevators are only steps away from each other. The Strip is just a short walk through the casino. This is very different from some of the big hotels where you need to negotiate your way through the maze of the casino and moving sidewalks to work your way to The Strip.
At 20,000 square feet, the casino is much smaller than most casinos on The Strip. The table games include blackjack, roulette, baccarat, craps, three card poker and pai gow poker. There are also 680 slots and video poker machines. There is also a sports book to one side of the casino. One dowside to this Casino is that the ventilation system is not as good as some of the newer casinos, so it does tend to get smoky.
Steakhouse at Bill's' - Steakhouse at Bill’s offers steaks, seafood and chops, plus chicken and pasta. The focus is on initimate dining in a casual environment. Call ahead for reservations.
The Victorian Room - The Victorian Room is a 24-hour cafe that offers a typical cafe menu along with a Chinese cuise menu. At popular times there is often a wait for a table, but they will take your name and you can gamble in the casino while you wait for your name to be called over the P.A. system.
Seattle's Best - This coffee shop chain offers coffees, teas, and a variety of pastries.
Bill's Gamblin Hall and Saloon has a lounge with free acts performing. The popular "Big Elvis" performs Monday - Thursday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Various other acts perform throughout the week.
Drai's Drai's is an after hours dance club that offers the typical Las Vegas VIP tables and bottle service.
